In July 1998, A-AAAKEY Mini Storage proudly opened its first new facility in 8 years. The “Taj Mahal” is a state-of-the-art facility that marked our re-birth; its innovative design has raised the standard throughout the self-storage industry, winning the honor of 1999 Facility Of The Year Overall Winner. Its unique appearance, along with the award winning “key sign”, has inspired the remodel of our 35 existing structures, giving us a uniform and recognizable look throughout the country. In April 2003 we did it again, being named 2003 Facility Of The Year Overall Winner with the opening of our 41st property.
