We sell wholesale directly to salons, stylists, nail technicians, estheticians and massage therapists and not to the general public. Armstrong McCall’s corporate headquarters is located in Austin, Texas. Bob Armstrong and Dean McCall, who started distributorships in the mid 1960’s, founded Armstrong McCall in 1939. In 1974, John McCall, son of founder Dean McCall, became President. Neil Riemer, Senior Vice President under John McCall, now serves as President and continues the company’s tradition of innovation in the professional salon industry. Armstrong McCall has over 170 franchise stores with over 350 sales people throughout the Sun Belt of the United States and in Mexico. The support center and distribution warehouse is based in Austin, Texas and employs over 100 people. In 2001, Armstrong McCall became indirectly owned by Beauty Systems Group, Inc. an affiliate of Sally Beauty Company. This strategic move positioned Armstrong McCall as part of the largest professional salon distributor in the nation. We have franchises currently available in Oklahoma and Mexico. Unlike many franchises, Armstrong McCall collects no royalties from its franchisees, but instead charges a one-time franchise fee. Plans for further expansion remain on the horizon. Daily interaction with salon professionals gives us an advantage in reacting quickly to changing trends in our industry and adjusting to these changes in order to continually build upon our quality salon relationships. We emphasize product knowledge and education and have a history as an education-leader in the professional beauty industry. Annually, Armstrong McCall sponsors the largest single-distributor trade show in the country with an attendance of over 20,000 customers.
