In 2010, NASA awarded the museum a 3 year grant to expand the educational programming for the Earth Camp Experience. The camp was established in memory of Columbia Space Shuttle Astronaut Laura Clark.

A remarkable place for visitors and people moving to Tucson. Not a Museum, not an arboretum, not a zoo, but all three and much more. Great for a date or a day by yourself.

Review below by Jason Champagne is dead on. Didn't get offered any sunscreen as I had my own. Place shuts down at 5pm and we got there close to 3pm but you can get two day pass for $1 extra only! They opened at 7:30 the next morning and animals are more active then. If you only see one thing in ....

This is the best place I've ever been. The staff and volunteers are very sweet, and are always willing to answer any questions. I have been there every year fir five years and it's just gotten better every time. All while the animals are taken excellent care of.
