HISTORY
The Museum of Natural History was founded in 1920 & started out as a small wooden building on a public square. The rooms were crowded with various species of animals earning it the nickname “The Ark.”

Great exhibits, consistent upgrades, nice programs, well worth the membership fee. Could spend days there exploring.

I was an intern there this summer so... I had gone through the museum a couple of times while I was working there and Still don't think I got to see every thing, even when I went through it a 3rd time after my research presentation with my mother a boyfriend. My boyfriend and I visited here on a Saturday. We made sure to arrive shortly after opening, so parking was no problem and there was no line for admission. Most of the exhibits were very, very good - I particularly enjoyed the Whales Tohora special exhibit - however, the paleontology and anthropolog....
