Drove 2 hours from St Pete and apparently the place shuts down when there's lightning! Yep. Just closed! What kind of place in Florida shuts down during lightning?! How are the houses more dangerous during lightning than the gift shop and parking lot which they're letting us wait outside at right no....

I had no idea that Thomas Edison touched our lives in so many ways. We spent 3 hours on the self guided tour. Do not miss the homes, that was the best part! I would highly recommend this for any family with mature kids, or the young at heart. Henry Ford and Firestone were hunting buddies of Edison's....
