The Phantom of the Opera (make an Offer! 10% Average Savings)

The Phantom of the Opera is one of the most successful Broadway musicals ever put to stage. I.. read moretrs grossed over $5.6 billion worldwide, and has been viewed by over 130 million people. As if that isnrt enough evidence that itrs worth a viewing, the musical has been staged over 10,000 times on Broadway, making it by far the longest running show in history (and the second longest musical in West End history). An All-Time Success Originally scored and written by the legendary composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, Phantom first took the stage on Londonrs West End Theatre in 1986 before moving to New York Cityrs Broadway two years later. The show met instantaneous success. In 1986, it won the Olivier Award for Best Musical, and in 1988, it won a Tony Award acknowledging it for the same honor. The idea to stage Phantom as a musical first occurred when Webber was desperately trying to write a romantic story. He decided adapting The Phantom of the Opera from its original format as a book (and then later two motion pictures) to the theatre would be difficult, but worth the challenge. His decision was the right one, as the musical has stood the test of time and continues to inspire audiences to this day. Save Tickets on The Phantom of the Opera The musical is an original story about love and a supremely talented outcastrs search to be understood. Going to a show at The Fox is one of my favorite things to do in Atlanta. The venue is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. They also get numerous big Broadway shows throughout the year so definitely check the Broadway in Atlanta website to see what's coming!
