The theatre opened on December 25, 1929, just two months after the stock market crash. The Fox hosted the premiere of Walt Disney's Song of the South in 1946. Disney himself introduced the picture.
This opulent historic landmark presents shows by Broadway in Atlanta & Theater of the Stars, as well as a Summer Movie series. The Atlanta Ballet performs its holiday season fave “The Nutcracker.”
Oakland Cemetery
In 1974, Mayor Marynard Jackson (OC resident) refused to sign the paperwork needed to demolish the Fox and on July 10th of that year held the first "Save the Fox" meeting at Herren's restaurant.

This review is for the Fox's tours. If you're trying to find information on their tours, you're probably in the same boat I was, thinking, "This sounds really interesting, but $18 per person? No AAA discounts? No internet promo codes? No student discounts that I can fake my way into??" The tour ....

Absolutely awful! This is the SECOND time I've had a terrible experience at the Fox. The first time, they continued to let people sit down 20 minutes into the play which meant I missed the first 20 minutes completely because of the noises. This time we bought our tickets from a second party and som....

This was my first time going to the Fox and I can't wait to go again. The venue is awesome! If you need a place to have a private event, the ballroom is perfect for it and it's a great location too.
