Currently they have Christmas exhibit in the Show Dome. Great place to snap few holiday photos. The Desert Dome has a lot of cactuses from Africa and Southern US as well as from Mexico. The Tropic Dome was closed for maintenance, therefore the admission was reduced by two dollars.

The Mitchell Park Domes themselves are a nice place to goto for an hour or two. They Domes are quite pretty and the employees do a fine job setting up the show dome. (Mondays are free for Milwaukee Co residents until noon) However, please be VERY careful if you bring a coat in here. I had my winter ....

A great escape from winter weather. Even though the tropical dome was closed when I visited, the show dome and desert domes were plenty to see. The variety of plants in the desert dome alone is insane. You really have to get close to see some of the amazingly intricate structures nature has come up ....
