Planet Wings was conceived in 1994 by founders Franco and Paula Fidanza. They realized that there wa.. read mores an amazing untapped opportunity in the quickserve delivery market. For the most part, delivery service was limited to pizza and burgers and was being provided by only a handful of restaurants. With the growing popularity of chicken wings, Franco & Paula decided the market was ready for a quickserve concept that not only provided home delivery of their delicious chicken wings, but all their menu items… including cheese steaks, heroes, salads and kid’s meals. The first Planet Wings® concept store opened in January 1995 and Franco and Paula haven’t looked back. They committed to using only the highest quality chicken available and to give their customers an incredible value for their money. They also offered 20 outrageous wing flavors (now 24) and prepared each customers meal fresh to order. Coupled with super convenient delivery service, Franco and Paula had discovered the recipe for success. Planet WingsFranco and Paula spent the next couple of years perfecting the concept and now have stores throughout the greater NY metropolitan area and New Jersey. Here are also two stores under development in Virginia, marking their first development outside the tri-state area. Paula and Franco have also stayed focused on giving back to the community, having contributed time, money and Planet Wings resources to charitable organizations and community programs designed to improve the quality of life for people in the communities where there is a Planet Wings store.
