The lighting of the Christmas tree is an annual event for me. An each year it never gets old. I love coming to the city during the month of December just to visit the tree. It's such a fantastic thing to do. That and ice skating if you like that sort of thing.

We had a blast! Whether you are skating or watching others skate during the holidays, the place is beautiful and calming. The music, the tree.....snow....... Having all the decorations around also adds to the festive mood.

The Rink at Rockefeller is the ice rink you always see in the movies. In reality only a few people skate here. Some tourists and some expert skaters. Maybe there will be 30 people on the ice.
