From 1961 to 1980, MOM’S simply served great pizza made from a special family recipe in our otherwise traditional take-out pizza stores in the Philadelphia area. During this time, Nick often took home fresh pizza piled high with fresh toppings to his growing family. They would bake it in their own kitchen and enjoy it hot and fresh. In 1981, Mom’s founders thought maybe our discerning customers would enjoy pizza that was fresh and hot when they were ready and the bake at home revolution was born! No longer would pizza lovers have to compromise taste and quality in order to have pizza in the comfort of their own homes. No longer would they have to settle for store-baked pizza that was cold and tasted like cardboard by the time it was delivered or they got it at home! Now pizza could be enjoyed at home the way it was meant to be: piping hot and fresh….right out of the oven. Today our pizzas can be found at ten franchise locations in the Delaware Valley. We are getting better with age as we approach our 45th anniversary. In the summer of 2004 we were named Philadelphia Magazines Best of Philly, "Readers Choice" award for Best Pizza; and in 2006 named Critics Choice "Best of the Main Line" for Healthy Pizza. We are very proud to receive so many customers' votes in a region with many outstanding options for pizza lovers.
