Working part-time for a local jewelry during high school not only paid Jesse Riddle's college tuition, but also introduced him to a business that truly fueled his entrepreneurial spirit over 48 years. He learned the business from the ground up, attending various trade schools, earning a business degree at the University of South Dakota, and ultimately becoming a GIA graduate gemologist. In 1959 after opening the first jewelry store, Riddle family members began joining the company and spurred the growth of new stores.
