Attorney William "Cruz" Shaw is a Houston native. He graduated from UTSA in 1999. He graduated from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2009 after spending several years in the workforce. During law school, he was on the mock trial team and was awarded the Litigator of the Year award. He was able to participate in his first trial as a law student because of this award. After graduating from law school, he first worked in a small bankruptcy firm in San Antonio. A year later, he opened a criminal law practice.
