About
The following information is often requested from potential customers who are considering the services of ADAM'S but are unfamiliar with who we are and with our excellent reputation! The following items are brief in description. Please feel free to call for any additional information to help you with your selection. LENGTH OF TIME IN BUSINESS: ADAM'S was formed by Don Hanson and Harold Leyse. Both Don and Harold had worked for many years with a large regional pest control firm before they decided to form ADAM'S in 1971. They started out with no customers. In the ensuing years, ADAM'S has grown to become a recognized leader in the pest control industry. Although Don passed away in October 1995, ADAM'S continues to be locally owned and operated. HAROLD LEYSE: Harold Leyse is a nationally recognized leader in the pest control industry. In 1993, he received the PCT Leadership Award. He has been a four term President of the Minnesota Pest Management Association (MPMA) and is a member of the MPMA Hall of Fame. TODD LEYSE: Todd Leyse is a nationally recognized leader in the pest control industry. In 1996, he joined his father Harold Leyse. He was recognized as one of 40 [industry leaders] under 40 [years of age] and later received the PCT Leadership Award in 2008. He has been a two term President of the Minnesota Pest Management Association (MPMA) and is a member of the MPMA Hall of Fame. AFFILIATIONS: ADAM'S is an active member of the National Pest Management Association, serving on several national committees, giving input and receiving up to date information regarding products, procedures and regulations. We are also members of the Minnesota Pest Management Association and have held several offices including the office of president on several occasions. We are also members of various trade associations. We welcome you to call the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota (651-699-1111). TRAINING: Training is important to us and we feel that it has been, and continues to be, a major factor in our continued success and growth. Every new Pest Control Technician is subjected to intense classroom and field training until they become state certified. All technicians are fully licensed and certified before being allowed to work on their own. In order to keep current with new products and procedures, we hold company wide training sessions nearly every month. All technicians must also attend an annual Minnesota Department of Agriculture sponsored re- certification conference held in the spring. ADAM'S technicians are typically a graduate of (or working toward graduating) Purdue University’s Pest Control Technology courses. We strive to have each of our technicians increase their skills and become master licensed. They have a pay incentive to reach greater levels of education and certification. QUALITY OF WORK: We believe that we have an excellent working relationship with the state and various local health departments, the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (Agronomy Services Division). Our main goal is to provide our customers with the best possible service available for their investment. We emphasize the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach - to reduce the use of pesticides in the environment. Our latest effort is lead the industry with Green Services. Ask for more information.
