Elmer ran the restaurant with the help up his family and a dedicated staff. Hard work, loyalty and high standards brought success to Elmer’s quickly. In 1962 the next location was opened, and today there are 27 Elmer’s restaurants in the Northwest. In December 2000, Elmer’s acquired five Mitzels’ American Kitchen restaurants in the Puget Sounds region of Washington state.
