David and Angela Coyle, owners and operators of In The Bag, Inc., created the company in December of 2000. David had always wanted to own his own company and tested his entrepreneurship skills in college. He had the idea of starting a high quality full-service dry cleaner that offered pick up and delivery services. Having run dozens of dry cleaners over a 10-year period, he was able to launch In The Bag, Inc. He even created the idea to have a personalized customer garment bag that also serves as a garment bag cover. While David had past technical and managerial experience that prepared to launch the company, Angela had experience in marketing, sales and advertising. She devoted her attention to growing sales through varies methods of marketing. David and Angela have truly built their business one customer at a time. They take care of their customers’ clothing just as they would their own, and make sure it is done with a smile. David says, “My wife is very particular when it comes to her dry cleaning. If I can make her happy, I can make anyone happy.” In spring of 2008, all the Best Cleaners locations in Wichita were purchased by Coyle. Ten locations were purchased in the acquisition. In the Bag already had the majority of the market share and the time for expansion was right. “We have a solid relationship with our customers and have been increasing our loyalty in Wichita the past 8 years. Now it’s our job to have the kind of brand recognition that Best Cleaners has had here in Wichita the past few decades,” says Coyle.
