Schoff President and Chairman of the Board: National Self Storage Management, Inc. Robert H. Schoff has been involved in the self storage industry since 1974. His career began as the City Manager for Tucson Self Storage; an investment partnership sponsored by his brother Michael and his partner David Mackstaller for their company, the Schomac Group, Inc. By 1976, he was managing a citywide network of seven facilities, having approximately 360,000 total rentable square feet and over 4,000 storage rooms. From 1978 to 1980, he worked for Mini-Storage Insurance Corporation (Now Minico) of Phoenix. He coordinated sales, advertising, and accounting for that rapidly growing company and held a State of Arizona Insurance Sales license during his time there. In October 1980, Mr. Schoff was recruited by National Self Storage to become its Vice President in charge of operations. In this position, he was responsible for the operations of all National Self Storage facilities in Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Denver, El Paso, and Tucson. In 1986, Mr. Schoff was promoted to President of National Self Storage Development, Inc. to oversee acquisition and development of over 30 storage facilities in that period of strong growth. He then spent nearly two years as an independent consultant to the self storage industry, and in February 1991, he rejoined NSS to coordinate their consulting and contract management divisions. Elected President of National Self Storage Management Inc. in 1994, Mr. Schoff was responsible for the operations of all National Self Storage facilities. He is currently the Chairman of the Board and President of NSS. In addition, Mr. Schoff is the Designateda licensed State of Arizona Real Estate Broker. for the firm. Mr. Schoff has been actively involved in the national Self Storage Association (SSA) since it=ss predecessor, The American Mini Warehouse Association, was founded in 1974. He was one of the original 52 members attending the first meeting of the association, in Denver, that now numbers over 2,500 2,500 members and 6,000 facilities throughout the World. He has served on both the SSA board of directors and Western Region Self Storage Association board of directors. Mr. Schoff begains his second three-year run on the SSA Board of Directors in January 2006 and is SSA Board Chairman for 2009. He is also on the Arizona Mini Self Storage Association (AMSAAZSA) board of directors and is its Immediate Past President. until July 2007. Mr. Schoff has been a published author for numerous industry publications, such as the Mini Storage Messenger, the Inside Self Storage Magazine, and the Inside Self Storage Fact Book. He has participated as a speaker, member, vendor, and instructor, in numerous self storage industry conference=s, trade show=s and educational seminars. In addition, Mr. Schoff has served as a self storage industry expert in legal proceedings. Robert H. Schoff graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona, Tucson in 1978. <img src="http://www.cyclonemedia.net/nss/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/image007-229x300.jpg" width="420"> Travis M. Morrow Vice President Travis Morrow served as a finance intern for National Self Storage from January through May 2003. During that time, he developed a prototype for a competitive analysis database used to track competition trends for all NSS markets. After a two-year activation with the Arizona Army National Guard, Mr. Morrow rejoined National Self Storage as the Consulting Division Manager. His duties included conducting feasibility and market demand studies for National Self Storage for new development and acquisitions. Mr. Morrow provides the same services for third party clients interested in self storage project development. In January 2006, Mr. Morrow was promoted to Vice President of the company. He is responsible for the acquisition, development, and growth of National Self Storage into the future. Mr. Morrow also stays active within state associations, currently serving as a director on both the Arizona and Nevada Self Storage Associations. Travis Morrow received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Arizona, Tucson in May 2003. Mr. Morrow is the designated real estate broker for National Self Storage Management, Inc. in Arizona. <img src="http://www.cyclonemedia.net/nss/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/jerry.jpg" width="420"> Jared G. Hart MIS Director and Training Director: National Self Storage Management, Inc. Jared Hart has been involved in the storage business since August of 2003. In August of 2003 Mr. Hart was hired to work as a manager for a self storage facility in Tucson, AZ. In December of 2003 Mr. Hart accepted a position as MIS Director for National Self Storage. He was responsible for hardware and software support of over 90 storage facilities. In 2005 Mr. Hart’s responsibilities also included support and configuration for the National Self Storage corporate network as well as the Schomac corporate network for both hardware and software. In 2006 Mr. Hart’s responsibilities increases to include all training for National Self Storage facility managers, setup and configuration for all hardware and software for new facility openings and existing facilities. Jared G. Hart graduated with a degree in Software Engineering in 1989 and has been involved in the computer industry for over 20 years. <img src="http://www.cyclonemedia.net/nss/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/chad.jpg" width"420"> Chad Hunley CFO Chad Hunley joined the National Self Storage team in 1995 as the Controller of the organization. Since that time, Mr. Hunley has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer and most recently appointed as the Treasurer of the organization. In 1996, Mr. Hunley was assigned the task of servicing Asset Backed Commercial Self Storage Mortgages supported by a multi-tier bond issuance, for a related entity called Self Storage Mortgage Corporation. In fulfilling this role, Mr. Hunley has been involved in collecting and remitting payments, physical inspections of properties, annual compilation and audit of financial statements, review of business practices and monthly reporting to the bond holders and Fitch Rating Services. The ratings of the bonds supporting these loans have been upgraded since their original issuance. When Mr. Hunley joined the organization, the National Self Storage portfolio consisted of 63 properties in 13 states. Due to acquisitions and planned sales of properties, during his tenure, National Self Storage has been involved in the management of over 130 individual locations. 53 of these locations were financed with multi-tier Bond backed financing that required a monthly distribution date statement and annual audit of financial statements. National Self Storage has had an unqualified opinion of its financial statements with no modifications during this entire period. Chad Hunley graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, as an accounting major from the University of Arizona in 1990. <img src="http://www.cyclonemedia.net/nss/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/image004.jpg" width"420"> Heather S. Morrow Operations Manager Heather Morrow served A/P Clerk for National Self Storage from June 2003 through August 2004, while attending classes at Pima Community College. After a two-year absents to attend the University of Arizona, Heather rejoined National Self Storage as an Administrative Assistant in June 2006; her duties were to set up a virtual filing system for the company. Heather was then promoted to the Training Manager in December 2007. Her duties included planning and conducting training classes, updating National Self Storage’s Operations Manual, Safety Manual, forms and letters. In March 2008, Mrs. Morrow was promoted to Operations Manager of the company. She is responsible for the daily operations of National Self Storage. Mrs. Morrow also stays active within state and national associations, and is currently serving as the Southern Arizona Regional Chair for the Arizona Self Storage Associations. She successfully completed the Self Storage Association Manager’s Certification course in September 2007 and has become a Certified Self Storage Manager. Heather Morrow received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Arizona, Tucson in May 2007. Mrs. Morrow is a real estate salesperson for National Self Storage Management, Inc. in Arizona. <img src="http://www.cyclonemedia.net/nss/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/image001.jpg" width"420"> Brandi Hickman Administrative Assistant Brandi Hickman became part of the National Self Storage team as the Administrative Assistant in August 2007. She was working full time while attending college part time. She is working toward a degree in accounting. Brandi is a vital part of our company, she is a public notary and has many responsibilities including: multiple bookkeeping functions, assist in reconciling monthly bank statements for multiple portfolios and assists in all account payable functions. Brandi is also responsible for ordering supplies for multiple properties, answering phones and questions then handling accordingly. Brandi tracks weekly and monthly numbers for multiple properties.
