he story of Northwest Tire & Hi-Tech Service begins on New Year's Day in 1971. On that day, Jim Faught a 13-year veteran with the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in the Detroit district was driving through Flint, Michigan while returning home with his family from the nearby town of Frankenmuth. On Clio Road in Flint, Jim saw a closed building that at one time had been Spiegel Catalog Outlet. Being an entrepreneur at heart he thought that the location would be a fine place for a tire and auto service store.
