Panda Kitchen and Bath was established in 2000 by the Huang Family in Miami, Florida. The Huang family had been in the cabinetry and granite business since the 1980s in mainland China. When the Huang family came to the U.S. in 1998, they purchased a home and visited their local retail store to inquire about kitchen and bath remodeling. They found that their remodeling plans were out of reach; homeowners needed an average household income of over $80,000 to afford a kitchen and bath upgrade. With their decades of experience in the construction industry behind them, the Huang family conducted research and discovered that they could cut the price of a kitchen and bath remodel project up to 70%, making the projects affordable to those with an average household income of $60,000. This would open the opportunity to an additional 12-18% of customers that previously could not afford a kitchen and bath remodel. And, they could do it with high-end materials. Two years later, the first Panda Kitchen and Bath Expo Center was opened in Miami. Between 2002 and 2004, by beating all prices currently available in the remodel market, Panda Kitchen and Bath opened a total of 11 store locations and over 100,000 square feet of warehouse space on the east coast of the U.S. In 2005 and 2006, Panda Kitchen and Bath opened another 16 Stores for a total of 27 store locations, and expanded its warehouse facilities to more than 500,000 square feet. In 2006, Panda Kitchen and Bath made another cornerstone decision: to join the designing team in Milan (Italy) named “Milano Design”.
