The founder and CEO of Don Roberto Jewelers opened the first store in downtown Stockton, Calif. in 1972. Downtown Stockton at that time was the old fashion central valley district. You would have a mixture of people, people with money, farmers struggling to make ends meet and people looking for help. Our customers did not have the funds to pay the cash for the merchandise we had. We developed a credit "easy payment" system so our client could afford to purchase the merchandise in our cases. Extending credit and tracking our accounts receivable became a daily task. We soon opened on Sundays to better keep on top of our credit operation. In the beginning year's money was in short supply but we all had a ton of desire. Our pocket books were small but our dreams were huge. Looking back at our history gives me a lot of pride. We stuck with our ideas, philosophies and systems that became our formula for success. We are very proud to be one of a small elite group of Jewelers who still believe in old fashion family and business values. When we hand shake on a deal it means that we will perform our part. The future looks promising. Don Roberto continues to build upon our 35-year foundation. We want improve every part of our organization. Healthy growth depends upon our ability to improve what we do today. Our associates, vendors, friends and families deserve a big Thank You! Some repairs-engraving-gift wrapping are done while you wait at no cost to the client. We will always clean your jewelry for free and check over the settings of your stones.
