Super Fresh is a chain of supermarkets owned by A&P. A&P introduced the banner in 1982, and converted all Mid-Atlantic region's stores to the new name. Super Fresh stores are located primarily in the Baltimore, Maryland, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, areas (including parts of Delaware and New Jersey) and in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C. Several Super Fresh-branded A&P stores operated in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area until 2003, when they were rebranded to the company's Sav-A-Center banner.
