The bakery first opened its doors in the year 1914, when two brothers, who had travelled from Sicily to make a new home in San Francisco, settled into the famous North Beach area of the City. The bakery, named Victoria after the daughter of one of the brothers, was a place where authentic and traditional recipes reminiscent of Old World Sicily could be enjoyed, with flavors enhanced by the use of the bakery’s enormous brick oven.
