ZIPS® began as eight dry cleaners in the Baltimore-Washington metro area that have been operating since 1996. The stores joined together in October 2002 to become the largest chain of retail dry cleaners in the area. Since then ZIPS® has grown to 17 stores. ZIPS® locations have always been involved in their local communities through activities such as the donation of thousands of unclaimed garments annually to charitable organizations, the collection and cleaning of donated coats during the winter for delivery to the homeless and needy, and of course, by making quality dry cleaning services affordable for everyone in the community.
